In another big name move for the Eagles, the Birds sent Lito Sheppard to the NY York Jets in return for 2 undisclosed draft picks. One pick is reported for 2010 and the other is a conditional pick for 2011. This move was expected by the Eagles ever since bringing in Asante Samuels. It was just his time to go, good luck in New York with the Jets Lito!

Brian Dawkins Signs 5-Yr Deal With Denver Broncos

The end of the Brian Dawkins in Philadelphia era has finally come. The long time Eagles has signed 5 year deal with the AFC’s Denver Broncos. New England Patriots Trade QB Matt Cassel To Kansas City

In what was somewhat of an unexpected move, the New England Patriots traded QB Matt Cassel to the Kansas City Chiefs for the 34th overall draft pick in the 2009 draft. Cassel was the second part of a the trade that sent Mike Vrabel to Kansas City on Friday. I hope he has a great season in KC and beat the Pats next season.

Georgetown defeats No. 12 Villanova, 56-54

In what was almost a must win to even have a chance to stay alive for March Madness, the Georgetown Hoyas won a big against No. 12 Villanova. DaJuan Summers scored 16 points and Chris Wright added 13 with the gaming winning layup with 47 seconds left. Both teams played good defense but it was the Hoyas who played the better of the two in a 56-54 victory over the Wildcats.

Redskins Sign Albert Haynesworth and DeAngelo Hall

The Washington Redskins spent no taking taking advantage of the first day of free agency in the NFL. The first pick up was defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth who signed a crazy 7-year $100 million dollar deal with $41 million guaranteed. The Redskins also signed cornerback DeAngelo Hall to a 6-year $54 million dollar deal with $22.5 million guaranteed.
