Kobe Bryant Scores 61 Against The Knicks

The first game after Lakers center Andrew Bynum was announced to be out 2-3 months with a severe knee injury, Kobe Bryant knew he had to step up his game or the Lakers would be on the verge of a bad stretch going into the all-star break and after. Well, last night Kobe made some history against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Kobe broke a record that was currently going for 25 years. He scored 61 points (record was 60) in a 126-117 victory over the New York Knicks. The game was sold out and even the Knicks fans were chanting “MVP” for Kobe as he put on a show for the crowd. Pao Gasol added 31 point and 14 rebounds as the Lakers tried to shut down any speculations of its supremacy in the Western Conference.
