The king of auto-tune is being sued and for a lot of money. Apparently, T-Pain had cancelled a major concert he was supposed to be at last month in Guayana. The promoters of the event (Hits and Jams) said that Pain was being a pain and making crazy demands such as a private jet, FBI protection, and a phone call with the country’s president. This all came from a supposed kidnap and death threat that T-Pain’s camp said was received. The promoters of the events paid a $75,000 advance on top of paying for 10 airline tickets and hotel accommodations for T-Pain’s camp. They are now seeking approximately $5 million due to the advance money and libel and defamations counts. T-Pain’s people are stating that they wanted to do the event but did not want to put their artists in harm’s way. This case is legit on both ends so it will be interesting to see what side wins.
