Roy Halladay Wins 1st Game Back To Toronto

Roy Halladay pitched a complete game in his first game back to Toronto since signing to the Phillies last year. It went back and forth but was a close scoring game until Chase Utley hit a two-run homer that gave the Phillies a 4-3 lead and ended up winning the game 5-3. Halladay is now 11-3 for the season.

  1. It was a great game to watch except for the fact that the umpiring was really frustrating. You expect Roy Halladay to get the calls but when you’re the Blue Jays and you’re hanging tough against a great pitcher you would hope for similar respect. It was good to see John Farrell’s cartoon-like blow-up in defence of his player because from the first inning on there were problems with the home plate umpire. Glad Roy got the reception he so definitely deserved because he was such a great franchise leader in his time with the Jays.
