The New York Yankees are only 1 win away from winning their 27th World Series title in franchise history. They came in yesterday and had a 4-2 lead that was tied up in the 8th inning with a Pedro Feliz homerun for the Phillies. Then in the bottom of the 9th, Damon stole second and third base on the same play and Alex Rodriguez hid the go-ahead rbi off of Brad Lidge as the Yankees ended up winning 7-4 and take a commanding 3-1 series lead.

NY Yankees 8 – Philadelphia Phillies 5 (World Series Game 3)

Alex Rodriguez finally made an impact in the World Series last night and it was game changing. He hit a controversial homerun, that had to be reviewed through instant replay by the umpires in order to make the call. When the call was made, it was indeed a homer. The ball hit a camera that was a little over the homerun gate in right field. After this, Cole Hamels was out of sync and just turned the game around. The Yankees won the game 8-5 and now lead the series 2-1.
