Orlando Magic Advance To East Conference Finals

The Orlando Magic completed the 4-game sweep of the Atlanta Hawks last night. Vince Carter led the way with 22 points and Rashard Lewis added 17 in the 98-84 win. They now advance to the Eastern Conference Finals to face the winner of the Cavs/Celtics series.

The Orlando Magic dominated the Atlanta Hawks in game one of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Dwight Howard had 21 points and 12 rebounds in the 114-71 victory over the Hawks….yes a 43 point victory.

Atlanta Hawks 105 – Miami Heat 90

The Atlanta Hawks are on somewhat of a hot streak. They currently hold the Eastern Conference’s best record with last night’s 105-90 victory over the Miami Heat at 10-2. Joe Johnson scored 30 points and Josh Smith was all over the stat sheet: 16 points, 14 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals. Bringing in Jamal Crawford was also key to the team’s success. Michael Beasley had 21 points and 9 rebounds for the Heat.

Cavaliers Take 3-0 Lead Over The Atlanta Hawks

The game was close all the way up to about the end of the third quarter. From there it was all Lebron and the Cavs. Lebron ended up with 47 points in the 97-82 rout of the Hawks. Joe Johnson who was doubtful, did end up playing. The Cavs have a 3-0 commanding lead over the Hawks in the series and now only need 1 game to sweep the series.

Atlanta Hawks Eliminate Heat In Blowout Victory

This was the series of blowouts. Every game was a lopsided victory for the victor. Today, Atlanta defeated the Heat 91-78, led by Joe Johnson who was on fire. He scored 27 and Josh Smith added 21 for the Hawks who are headed to the second round for the first time in 10 years. Now its off to Cleveland. Who do you think will win that series?

Hawks Win Game 5 Versus Heat

This series has been nothing but blowouts and yesterday did not differ. The Hawks had a 63-40 lead at halftime and ended up winning the game 106-91. The game got a little heated as 4 players, including D-Wade were called for technical fouls (Wade’s was actually a flagrant). Joe Johnson scored 25 points and Flip Murray added 23 off the bench. Wade had 29.
