Carmelo Anthony Traded To New York Knicks

Finally! A blockbuster deal was completed that sent Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks. The swap is a three-way deal including Minnesota, a league source told Broussard.

As a part of the deal, the Knicks will send Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, and a 2014 first-round draft pick to the Nuggets, who would get additional picks and cash, according to the Denver Post. Along with Anthony, New York would acquire Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman, the newspaper reported.

New York will send Anthony Randolph and Eddy Curry to Minnesota as part of the deal, according to the newspaper. In exchange, the Knicks will get Corey Brewer, a league source told Broussard.

Oh boy, will the Knicks be a force to be wrecking with now?

Denver Nuggets 101 – New Jersey Nets 87

This picture says it all. The New Jersey Nets have had no luck in a victory this season so far. The Nuggets took control about the third quarter and all was said. Carmelo Anthony scored 27 and had 6 rebounds in the 101 – 87 win over the Nets. The Nets are now 0-14 and are 3 losses shy of the record for most losses starting a season.

Denver Nuggets 105 – LA Lakers 79

Wow. How did the Lakers get trashed last night by the Nuggets? Kobe Bryant only had 19 points and went scoreless in the second half, but Andrew Bynum was able to score 19 as well and add 15 rebounds. Carmelo Anthony had 25 points and rookie Ty Lawson led the rout as well in a 105-79 victory over the Lakers. This is the Laker’s 2nd lost of the season.

Denver Nuggets 90 – Chicago Bulls 89

The Denver Nuggets and Chicago Bulls game last night was decided on a last second shot. Brad Miller threw up a shot in the final seconds and the Bulls and their fans thought it was going to be the game winner. Thanks to instant replay, it was not and the Nuggets escaped a 90-89 victory over the Bulls. Carmelo Anthony dropped 20 points and Chauncey Billups added 17 points for the Nuggets. Derrick Rose had 22 points for the Bulls.

Lakers Take Game 5 Over Nuggets

The Lakers are now only one win away from reaching the NBA Finals again. The first half of the game was just about even, but the Nuggets outplayed the Lakers even though it was tied at half time. The second half was basically all Lakers though. Lamar Odom scored 19 and added 14 rebounds and Kobe Bryant scored 22. Carmelo Anthony scored 31 but it was not enough as the Lakers won 103-94 and take the 3-2 series lead. Game 6 is on Friday.

Denver Blows Out Lakers In Game 4

Denver needed a win last night unless they wanted to go down 3-1 in the series versus the Lakers. They did it without much from Carmelo Anthony who banged up his ankle and had stomach issues as well during the game. He finished the game with 15 points but the rest of his team picked up the slack. Chauncey Billups scored 24, Kenyon Martin and Nene both had a double-double, and J.R. Smith also scored 24 points. Kobe Bryant scored 34 points but it wasn’t enough as the Nuggets too game 4, 120-101 and tied the series 2-2.

DENVER BOUNCES BACK TO BEAT LAKERS

After letting game 1 slip away from them, Denver needed a win to get away from a possible 2-0 hole going into Denver. The Lakers started off the game strong and looked like the game could have been over in the first quarter. Denver came back with 14-2 towards the end of halftime to only be down 1 point at the half. The Lakers were not able to contain Carmelo Anthony or Chauncey Billups as Denver was able to win a close one last night 106-103. The series is now tied and headed to Denver for game 3.
