North Carolina Wins National Championship!

Well, the favorite did it! North Carolina defeated the underdog Michigan State is a easy manner. Ever since Ty Lawson retured to the team, it just got refueled with energy to go hard for the National Championship. When Ty Lawson, Wayne Elington, Danny Green and Tyler Hansbrough declared they would be back for another season, it was sensed that they were coming for the same reason…….to win a title. Last night, Michigan State could not use home court to their advantage. UNC was too focused to win and took the title in a 89-72 victory. They were able to shut down their critics with this win. Wayne Elington was namde Final Four MVP.

Well, tomorrow is what the whole NCAA season will lead up to….the National Championship Game. One of my picks made it (UNC) and a surprise team made it as well in Michigan State. This will be a great game as UNC really has nothing to lose and Michigan State has a lot to gain.

Michigan State Advances To National Championship Game

Michigan State took advantage of basically having home court advantage playing in Detroit. They started the game hot and set the feel for the whole game. UCONN came back but the second half was all Michigan State. Durrell Summers and Raymar Morgan had a great game, along with Kalin Lucas for Michigan State. Now they are head to the National Championship Game on Monday Night to play the winner of Villanova and North Carolina. Being an unthinkable team to make it this far makes it seem like an upset. The final score was 82-73.

Michigan State Upsets Louisville 64-52

Who would think that still could actually happen, the way Louisville played through the end of the season and during the NCAA Tournament? Michigan State grabbed the loose balls they needed, played the defense, and made sure they played the better offense. Even though they are a No. 2 seed, a lot of people did not have them making it this far, let alone defeat Louisville 64-52, the overall No. 1 seed in the entire tournament. Now it’s off to Detroit and the Final Four to play powerhouse UCONN.

Michigan State Slips Past Kansas

This game could have went either way, but Michigan State showed why they were a 2 seed and not a 3. Michigan State was down five points with three minutes left in the game but they turned on the defense from their. They grabbed seven straight rebounds, did not let Kansas score, made seven straight field goals and won the game 67-62. Next up is No. 1 Louisville.
