What a Valentine’s NBA All-Star Saturday Night! The Rising Stars competition went to the Detroit Pistons squad as they defeated the home team Phoenix Suns team. The Skills Competition went to rookie Derek Rose as he defeated Tony Parker, Devin Harris, and Mo Williams. The 3-Point Competition went to the the Miami Heat’s Daequan Cook as he defeated Orlando’s Rashard Lewis in a tie breaker 19-7. Finally, the most anticipated event of the night was the Slam Dunk Contest. The finals featured Nate Robinson and Dwight Howard. It was close and exciting but a dunk by Nate in which he jumped over Dwight sealed the deal and led him to victory. All-Star Game is Sunday Night!
