The Nuggets finished off the job against the Hornets last night in game 5. Carmelo Anthony scored 34 and Chauncey was a great leader on the court. David West scored 24 for the Hornets, but the Nuggets won the series 4-1 and the game 107-86. Next up is the Dallas Mavericks who took care of business with San Antonio in the first round.

Well the Cavs finished off the sweep of the Pistons today. Lebron James scored 36 and had 13 rebounds in the 99-78 rout of the Pistons. Now that the series is over, the Cavs await the winner of the Miami and Atlanta series.

Chauncey Billups is the main reason the Denver Nuggets were able to end up as the No. 2 seed coming into the playoffs. He really helped turn around the team. Game 1 was spectacular for the point guard and so was game two. Chauncey scored 31 points in the 108-93 rout of the New Orleans Hornets. David West had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Hornets but it was not enough to take down the emerging Nuggets team. The Nuggets now lead the series 2-0 and are headed to New Orleans for game 3.

D-Wade was not going to let another blowout by the hands of the Atlanta Hawks strike twice. He dropped 13 straight points towards the end of the first half and ended up with 33 points at the end of the night. Mike Biddy had 18 and Josh Smith had 17 for the Atlanta Hawks. The Celtics must have been heated to allow the Bulls beat them at home in game 1 that they came to play in game two. The ending of the game was exciting and this time no overtime was needed. Ray Allen was on fire and scored 30 points, including the game winning three-point shot. Rajon Rondo also had a great game with a triple-double of 19 points, 16 assists, and 12 rebounds. Ben Gordon scored 42 for the Baby Bulls. The Celtics won game 2 118-115 and are now headed to Chicago for game 3 on Thursday night.

Wow. The 76ers actually won game one on the road versus the Orlando Magic. Andre Iguodala hit a jumper with 2.2 seconds left in the game to steal game 1 in Orlado by the score of 100-98. Wow! Good look Philly..

Well lets just say Yao Ming was perfect last night against the young Portland Trailblazers. Yao was 9 for 9 and ended with 24 points. Aaron Brooks led the way with 27 points for the Rockets. Houston had a lead as high as 31 points over Portland. The final score was 108-81 in Houston’s favor. Brand Roy scored 21 for Portland.
