Oklahoma City Thunder Come Back To Take 3-1 Series Lead Over LA Lakers

The LA Lakers pretty much had the game under control until the final quarter of the game. Russel Westbrook and Kevin Durant led the charge and Durant hit the deciding game winner with 13.7 seconds left in the game. The Thunder won the game 103-100 and now lead the series 3-1 as it now goes back to Oklahoma City for game 5.

Philadelphia 76ers Take Commanding 3-1 Series Lead Over Bulls

The Philadelphia 76ers took a commanding 3-1 series lead over the No. 1 seed Chicago Bulls today. The Bulls are already shorthanded their star point guard Derrick Rose, but today there were even missing leading rebounder Joakim Noah, due to a rolled ankle in game 3. Jrue Holiday and Spencer Hawes had big games with 20 point and 22 point games respectively, in a 89-82 victory.

Derrick Rose Out For Playoffs – Torn ACL

The Chicago Bulls took a 1-0 series lead over the Philadelphia 76ers today but may have lost even more. Their star point guard, Derrick Rose, tore his ACL, towards the and of the game and will be out for the rest of the playoffs. The Bulls won the game 103-91, but as Rose went to the lane he landed bad in where he tore his ACL in his knee. The Bulls will really miss Rose’s presence on the floor, especially as they look to make a playoff push.

Oklahoma City Thunder Advance To Western Conference Finals

The Oklahoma City Thunder survived!!! They had a tough series with the gritty Memphis Grizzlies but the one-two combo of Kevin Durant and Russel Westbrook showed up. Durant scored 39 points and Westbrook had a triple-double in the 105-90 win over the Grizzlies. Now it is on to Dallas to play the Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.

The San Antonio Spurs were on the brink of losing the first round series versus No. 8 seed Memphis Grizzlies last night. Unexpected rookie Gary Neal hit a game-tying 3-point shot to send the game into overtime, where the Spurs sealed the deal and avoided elimination. The series is now 3-2 Memphis.

2011 NBA Playoffs Opening Weekend Recap

So the first weekend of the 2011 NBA Playoffs is behind us and several upsets, surprises, and crazy games occurred. On Saturday: Miami was able to hold off the Philadelphia 76ers comeback as well as the Bulls over the Pacers, Dallas defeated Portland, and Atlanta handed Orlando a loss. On Sunday: Memphis upset No. 1 Spurs, the Hornets handed the Lakers a loss, Ray Allen hit a clutch bucket to help the Celtics beat the Knicks, and Oklahoma City came back to defeat a hungry Nuggets team.
