The first No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament to get eliminated is Michigan St. The first time in history that a No. 1 seed loses and scored less than 50 points. Louisville defeated Michigan St. 57-44.

North Carolina Wins National Championship!

Well, the favorite did it! North Carolina defeated the underdog Michigan State is a easy manner. Ever since Ty Lawson retured to the team, it just got refueled with energy to go hard for the National Championship. When Ty Lawson, Wayne Elington, Danny Green and Tyler Hansbrough declared they would be back for another season, it was sensed that they were coming for the same reason…….to win a title. Last night, Michigan State could not use home court to their advantage. UNC was too focused to win and took the title in a 89-72 victory. They were able to shut down their critics with this win. Wayne Elington was namde Final Four MVP.

UNC Defeats Villanova 83-69

This was an ugly win by UNC as they missed 15 free-throws, got beat on the boards, and had less points in the paint. The most important factor though was that they won the game and by 14 points. Tyler Hanbrough had 18 points and 11 rebounds in the 83-68 rout of Villanova. North Carolina was able to pick apart Nova’s game and is now headed to the National Championship Game to face Michigan State tomorrow night.

Michigan State Upsets Louisville 64-52

Who would think that still could actually happen, the way Louisville played through the end of the season and during the NCAA Tournament? Michigan State grabbed the loose balls they needed, played the defense, and made sure they played the better offense. Even though they are a No. 2 seed, a lot of people did not have them making it this far, let alone defeat Louisville 64-52, the overall No. 1 seed in the entire tournament. Now it’s off to Detroit and the Final Four to play powerhouse UCONN.

Michigan State Slips Past Kansas

This game could have went either way, but Michigan State showed why they were a 2 seed and not a 3. Michigan State was down five points with three minutes left in the game but they turned on the defense from their. They grabbed seven straight rebounds, did not let Kansas score, made seven straight field goals and won the game 67-62. Next up is No. 1 Louisville.

Oklahoma Defeats Syracuse 84-71

Oklahoma had the lead during the whole game and surprisingly defeated a scrappy Syracuse team quite easily. They were able to contain Devendorf and Flynn to an extent. Blake Griffin dropped 30 points and even hit the side of his face while dunking. Tony Crocker from Oklahoma had a huge game with a career high 28 points. Oklahoma advances to the Elite 8 versus the winner of North Carolina and Gonzaga. The final score was 87-71.
