Philadelphia Phillies Hold Lead To Take 2-1 NLDS Series Lead On Cardinals

The Philadelphia Phillies took advantage by a crucial mistake on the part of the Cardinals Jaime Garcia when pinch hitter Ben Francisco hit a 3-run homer in the 7th inning. Cole Hamels pitched a very good game but was high in the pitch count. Closer, Ryan Madson, came in the 8th to hold off the Cards and help save the game in a 3-2victory for the Phills.The Phillies now lead the series 2-1.

Philadelphia Phillies Advance To NLCS

Congrats go out to the Philadelphia Phillies who were able to complete the 3-game sweep of the Cincinnati Reds last night in the NLDS series. Cole Hamels pitched a gem as he had a complete game shut out, leading the Phillies to a 2-0 win. The Phillies now await the winner of the Giants/Braves series for the NLCS.

Roy Halladay Throws A No-Hitter In Game 1 Of NLDS VS. Reds

Roy Halladay made history last night in his first postseason game after so many years in the MLB with the Bluejays. He was aggressive the whole night and the offense put up 4 runs for the Philadelphia Phillies in a 4-0 win in game 1 of the NLDS versus the Cincinnati Reds. Oh by the way………Roy Halladay threw a no-hitter, the second in MLB postseason history. What a start!
