Philadelphia 76ers Take Commanding 3-1 Series Lead Over Bulls

The Philadelphia 76ers took a commanding 3-1 series lead over the No. 1 seed Chicago Bulls today. The Bulls are already shorthanded their star point guard Derrick Rose, but today there were even missing leading rebounder Joakim Noah, due to a rolled ankle in game 3. Jrue Holiday and Spencer Hawes had big games with 20 point and 22 point games respectively, in a 89-82 victory.

Happy Easter For Philadelphia’s Sports Teams!!!

It was an amazing Sunday for 3 of Philadelphia’s major sports teams! The 76ers and Flyers were on the brink of elimination and the Phillies were trying to complete a 4-game sweep of the Padres. The 76ers were able to avoid the sweep with an 86-82 win over the Heat, the Flyers forced a game 7 with a 5-4 overtime win over the Sabres, and Roy Halliday threw 14 strikeouts in a 3-1 win over the Padres. It was a Happy Easter for Philadelphia!!!

After 14 seasons and a stellar career, Allen Iverson is retiring. After he left the Philadelphia 76ers, his career took a huge turn and he has not been the same since. Teams just didn’t want to give him a starting role which he thinks he deserved. It won’t be permanent though. The 76ers need to look into him, for real!

Philadelphia 76ers Take 2 Wins In Toronto

The Philadelphia 76ers preseason started two days ago and on schedule were the Toronto Raptors for 2 straight games. They won the first game 107 – 98 and they won last night again, 84-79. They are looking good so far and have the home opener for preseason tomorrow night against the NJ Nets. They also have an open practice this Saturday, at the Wachovia Spectrum.

Philadelphia 76ers Sign Eddie Jordan As Head Coach

With a coaching vacancy in the 76ers organization, the void has finally been filled. The 76ers have signed former Washington Wizards coach, Eddie Jordan, as the team’s new head coach. Jordan had ties with 76ers General Manager, Ed Stefanski, from working together for the NJ Nets organization. This will be interesting to see how the 76ers will turn out during the season.
