This was an ugly win by UNC as they missed 15 free-throws, got beat on the boards, and had less points in the paint. The most important factor though was that they won the game and by 14 points. Tyler Hanbrough had 18 points and 11 rebounds in the 83-68 rout of Villanova. North Carolina was able to pick apart Nova’s game and is now headed to the National Championship Game to face Michigan State tomorrow night.

Villanova Stuns Pittsburgh 78-76

I’m still think about this game from last night and I didn’t get to see it because I was in New York City, but I was on ESPN on my phone getting the info. through auto refresh. I got to see the highlights and the game was crazy. Shane Reynolds made a heroic shot with 0.5 seconds left in the game, then Pitt. had one last shot. Lavarence Fields got the last shot from the end of the court and nearly made it as it hit the glass of the backboard on the opposite end of the court. Nova stunned a lot of people who thought Pittsburgh would win. Now it’s off to the final four and to wait for UNC or Oklahoma.

Villanova Routs UCLA 89-69

This game did not look like it would have been a blow out but it was. Villanova was just on point like a pencil throughout the whole game. UCLA just did not look fit to play the Wildcats today. Nova played tremendous defense and offense today. Scottie Reynolds and Dante Cunningham led the Wildcats to a 89-69 blow out of the Bruins.

Villanova Edges Marquette in Big East Tourney

Villanova had a somewhat comfortable lead against Marquette today and almost gave up the game. The Golden Eagles rallied back and even took the lead in the last stretch of the game. Nov had one last chance and a reverse lay-up by Dwayne Anderson as time expired won the game and is sending Villanova into a semi-finals game versus Louisville tomorrow night. It was exciting game and had a great end.
